Vitamins are sprayed on breakfast cereals after they are toasted, thus they cannot be absorbed.

  Tired of oily skin? Blend ½ cup potatoes, peeled and grated, 1 egg white and 1 tbsp dry milk powder. Apply mixture to clean face. Leave 20 – 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

  When needing to butter any pan not using spray types, take a baggie, place it on your hand, then dip your hand into the butter and spread it exactly where you need it without any mess.
If you are a sweet-eater, eat a fruit before each sweet food.
A teaspoon of grated raw potato in a compress of surgical gauze is said to smooth eyelid wrinkles when placed over the closed eye for 15 minutes.
  Recipes sometimes call for peeled fresh tomatoes. Dropping the whole tomato in boiling water for five seconds can easily do this. Carefully remove the tomato. The skin should be splitting, making it easy to peel off. If it doesn't, return them to the boiling water for only a few seconds longer.
If you have ever wondered how many mouthfuls a guest will eat from the appetizer tray, wonder no more. The average party-goer at a cocktail party (no meal included) will gobble-up 10 – 12 mouthfuls. If a meal is included you only have to figure 4 – 5 mouthfuls. If you are having a wine and cheese gathering, figure 110 g of cheese per person. If you are having a dip and crackers or chips you need to figure on cup will serve 8 people if you are serving other small goodies. 4 cups of dip will provide you with 150 – 170 cracker-sized servings. If you are having a picnic, figure on 3 beers or soft drinks per person.
  A slice of raw potato will clean wood and silver.
  If you have a cork stuck inside of a wine bottle and you want to keep the bottle, try pouring a small amount of ammonia into the bottle and place it outside for 2 – 3 days. The ammonia should eat the cork away. Of course this means an empty bottle of wine!
  Poppy seeds are commonly used in the baking industry in bagels, muffins, and cakes. However, since poppy seeds are derived from poppies from which morphine and codeine are made, it may cause a positive urine test for opiates. Even 5 hours after consuming poppy seeds your test may still be positive.
Tomatoes may be used as a natural antiseptic and may protect against infection.
A good trick when you go away on vacation is to place a baggie with a few ice cubes in the freezer. If a power failure occurs while you are gone and the food thaws and refreezes, you will be aware of this fact and discard the food.
  Frozen sandwiches will thaw by lunchtime. If the bread is buttered prior to freezing, the bread will not become soggy and absorb any filling.
  A freezer that is full will use less energy than a half-full freezer because frozen foods retain cold air for a long period. The freezer will run less hours a day and save considerable money in electricity.
  Most fat should be consumed either at breakfast or lunch, few, if any for dinner. High fat meals late in the day may cause the digestive system to overwork while you sleeping, causing restless sleep-patterns.
Fats can be eliminated through the use of lettuce or ice etc. without refrigerating the food and taking the time for the fat to rise to the top. A good percentage of fat can be eliminated by either placing 4 – 5 ice cubes in a piece of ordinary cheesecloth and swirling it around in the soup/stew or by placing a few lettuce leaves in the food and stirring them for a few minutes then removing them and throwing them away.
  If you have red hair or are a brunette, try rinsing your hair with black coffee, then clear water to add luster.
